Interesting place, some nicely built out of lego attractions.
However, it is way too expensive for what it offers. Also, the food we have had at Asia chicken house was awful, simply inedible. The sweet and sour chicken had maybe 4 pieces of meat in it.
So since we were already spending and arm and a leg staying two nights at the pirate island hotel, we opted for add ons: dinner, mini bar package, kids' gift, skip the queue app, breakfast, etc.
This is a very well thought out and put together park - there are lots of nice food places around, the rides are exciting, it's relatively easy to navigate and most of the staff are super friendly.
The hotels are a little bit of a trek from the amusement park but the rooms are nicely decorated, the treasure hunt keep kids busy while you sort out your bags, staff at reception are nice, shops available for last minute items, great themed restaurants and huge play areas where kids can roam a little independantly while parents relax on the terrace in view. It wouldn't be something I would spend so much money on every year but would go back again in the future. They have shallets and caravan parking also so you can cut down on teh expense somewhat.
We've spent our 9 year old son birthday there and he absolutely loved it. He is a big Lego fan and especially Lego Ninjago so we've been going to all attractions. Weather was pretty bad - cold and windy and on weekday but place was full. Attractions are nice, some of them scary, so overall was good fun. Food is also good in the resort. The Ninja food place was great. Some discounted Legos as well .
Before I visited this place I read a lot of reviews and comments. Somebody recommended that You need at least a few days to spend there. After visiting it I concluded that all these people probably saw such attraction first time. Honestly I was crazy because of 20-40 minutes lines at most of the rides and attractions already after half of the day. I cannot deny that it is interesting and well decorated but still at the end of the day I was not so impressed as I was after visiting the similar attraction thematic parks in Spain. So if You are passing by You should visit it but I wouldn’t cross half of Europe to see it.
Rides are a little tame after 12! Queues are long on German school holidays so avoid that time if you can. No staff around so don’t expect answers to queries. Saw a very small number of people using the priority queuing system- its expensive - may be worth it during busy holiday season otherwise no. Parents clog up the rides and they don’t fill spare seats like Disney so the queues ...
I took my parents (both over 70) and my young children.
The children had a lot of fun, roller coasters that where right for their age, lots of LEGO sculptures around the park.
It was very, very hot (unusually hot) for Germany but we found some rides where we could get wet and relieve from the summer.
Lines weren’t so big.
Would not recommend for teenagers, they may feel a bit disappointed at the thrill rides.
