We stayed at Le Pavillon at the start of a two week driving trip to Normandy and Brittany. We were looking for someplace to stay after our long flight from SFO. This is the place. Only a 20-30 minute drive from CDG. We arrived in the early afternoon - rested - then had a nice dinner at Le Scaramouche in the old town. Senlis is worth a quick visit and just right after your flight from the US. All of the pictures shown on the web site are exactly what you get. We were greeted by Marc and his lovely wife, Charlotte, who insisted on carrying our bags up to our room. We were the only guests that night, we had the entire three-story chateau to ourselves! This impressive 18th-century building is dripping with character. We chose a huge corner room on the third story with a lovely view of the back of the estate, as well as a view in the other direction of the village crowned by the flood-lit cathedral. The bed and furniture were comfortable and the modern en suite bath featured a tub, separate shower. In the morning, we were served a light but wonderful breakfast in a stately dining room, with a silver tea service and delicate, laced-trimmed napkins. This is a find if it fits into your schedule. We also recommend that you take an hour or so to look around the lovely town of Senlis.

We stayed at Le Pavillon St Martin on our final night at the end of a 4 week holiday in France. We felt very privileged to stay in this incredible property. Marc and Charlotte were extremely welcoming and we were totally in awe of the incredible building and its' history. Although the property is a labour of love in progress our room was beautifully appointed with a wonderfully designed modern bathroom and lovely views of Senlis and the rear garden.
Breakfast was served in the grand elegant dining which oozed history and refinement.
The property is less than 1/2 hour from CDG so is ideally located for travellers needing access to the airport.
Merci Beaucoup!

Friendly and gracious hosts Marc and Charlotte provided us with a wonderful experience when we stayed here on our cycle from London to Paris. The roll-top bath and huge bed provided real luxury and a lovely breakfast the next morning sent us on the next leg of our adventure! Thank you :)

Ideally located for those driving to Paris and beyond, a stop here breaks the back of the Paris trip, providing a tranquil oasis before carrying on.
The medieval town has some great buildings, rich history and nice restaurants. We tried one of Marc and Charlotte recommended and were very impressed with the food, a combination of traditional with an interesting interpretation. (At which we got an instant booking on Charlotte's call to the owners). Reviewed separately.

You need to pay cash so make sure you take sufficient, although the price is very reasonable.

Welcome and hospitality:
Gracious and helpful hosts, Marc and Charlotte welcomed us with the friendly, discrete charm which epitomises the Hotel. We arrived late after a long haul and they called ahead and managed to secure us a booking in the top restaurant in town.
Parking
Great off street parking behind locked gates in the grounds.
Location and directions
Easy to find, easy access to and from the motorway
Bathing facilities
Very good, beautifully decored with original features and modern touches.
Biker friendliness
Very good
Food
Very good though it is a cold continental. Just croissants breads with local jams. Those expecting a fry up will be disappointed but this disappointment is quickly quashed by the splendour to our of the room you're eating it down to the solid silver sausage dog knife rest.
Value for money
Excellent
Verdict
Slightly faded grandeur but definitely not jaded. Will definitely be going back on future trips. Great hosts in an amazing chateau alive with history.
