Typically new restaurants struggle with service - not the case at this newly opened Alta Strada so they have either hired very experienced staff or they have an excellent training program. The wine list was very good (some terrific Tuscan wines) with a broad range of prices. We tried the crunchy meatballs (very rich...one order is enough for 2-3 people). I had the tagliatelle with meat sauce and it was just as good as fresh pasta I have had in Italy. Not "cheap eats" but not crazy expensive...if I had not ordered 2 $18 glasses of wine (it was a super tuscan...had to do it) our bill for 2 people would have been around $65. Portions are generous....consider sharing an appetizer and an entree and use the "surplus" to order a good wine.

We have eaten here a few times since it opened last month and have not been disappointed. They have a vast pasta menu, with non-Italian options and pizza...plus fun drinks. The margarita pizza is one of the best I have ever had! They are working on outdoor seating as we speak. Service was excellent.

This is a gourmet Italian restaurant located in the Mosaic District. The waiter was knowledgeable about the dishes and the other services were very good. I thought that the menu was somewhat limited and the pizza had was somewhat bland but that's because I love pizza and it didn't live up to my expectations. My dining companions all loved their dishes.

Simply...outstanding.
My amazing fiancé is a CIA (not that one!) trained chef & owns restaurants. He has been wanting to try Michael Schlow's recent addition to his growing empire.

Everything was perfect: great attentive service by Paul- very knowledgeable about all the items especially when I didn't know about certain pastas tasted or looked like.

My favorite - appetizer with burrata/honey/almonds/thinly sliced green apples. I could have eaten two of these.

Oh no. We are full as three fruit packed balls of sorbet magically appear on our table- with crunchy "somethings" (don't ask me to ever write menu descriptions).

Executive Chef Nicole has the talent. And some serious experience with some of THE best chefs. Pray she stays here.

Look forward to many return visits.
