This spot was perfect for exploring Monticello and Charlottesville. Very quiet and pastoral with views of the Blue Ridge, you can even see a bit of Monticello from the back porch. Deer visited us every morning and evening. It has a lovely pool and there is a 4-mile hiking trail that runs right next to the property. The owner was kind enough to let us tour his impressive vegetable/flower garden. The kitchen has everything you'll need to make breakfast or a light meal. The bathroom has a lovely claw foot tub. There's not much counter space in the bathroom, but that's a minor issue. I also think it's time for a new mattress on the bed, but overall we had a lovely stay and I would definitely recommend it.
A very welcoming place to stay. The owners accommodated our arrival time to conform to the University of Virginia's adjusted baseball schedule. Charlottesville's a stone's throw away, and Monticello and Ash Lawn are even closer! Can't wait to visit again, hopefully when the sun is shining!
Milton Cottage with its peaceful surroundings and Beautiful view where so soothing to us with a dozen or so deer feeding just a few feet from the back porch. The sunset was one of the best I've seen in a while. We were only 10 minutes from Thomas Jefferson's Monticello Home which we highly recommend you attend and the mountainous road driving was great for us. Dinning is good in Charlottesville don't miss out.
