Excellent skiing, service and food. The ski valet is particularly special. All staff very kind and helpful. Lots of people to provide helpful information about lifts and ski runs.
Food is expensive but very good.
Fabulous ski weekend. Able to negotiate the crowds during busy COVID times. Stayed mid mountain at the Chateau Deer Valley. Very happy with resort and location. Only challenge is transport to from airport. Able to Uber to resort from Salt Lake but unable to from resort back to airport. Highly recommend arranging a driver and use your hotel or resort to arrange. Cost is comparable to UBER especially during busy times.
This was our first time to Deer Valley, it is now our yearly ski destination. Everything about Deer Valley was first class, however, nothing matched the ski school instructors and how they made our experience so fantastic. Please tell Sara and Dylan, our instructors, we thought they were very professional and a whole lot of fun!! We are now planning a return and are considering an instructor for a half day lesson each day because we enjoyed them so much. Your HR people do a great job in hiring your instructors.
Deer Valley employees work hard to make DV wonderfully safe (from Covid) and also to make our stay comfortable and FUN!! I was in DV for nearly 2 months and wish I could have stayed longer!!! The skiing (& hot tub afterwards) was fabulous!! Awesome memories!!!
Runs are no longer groomed. Slopes are dangerously crowded. They say that they are still limiting ticket sales but I have not skied on runs this crowded since skiing in the Midwest. I am sad to have to leave this review after skiing at Deer Valley for 32 years. It was one of my favorite places in the world to visit. It was always an expensive lift ticket, but it was worth it for the experience. Now prices have soared but the benefits of skiing at Deer Valley have disappeared.
We have been skiing for 30 + years and we have to say this was the worst experience to date. Being told your face mask was not high enough when it literally couldn’t go higher was all we could take. The ski patrol and line monitors were some of the rudest people you could imagine. It’s ok to sit in a restaurant and eat without a mask but not ok to be outside six feet away from anyone and not have your mask smothering you. I was told if the tip of my nose was showing that I could be asked to leave. It’s nothing but a control issue. We will NEVER return to Deer Valley even if it was a free trip!!
Don’t waste your time or money coming here.
