We picked this house for our vacation because of the location. It was within an easy drive of three amazing national parks. It also offered a lot of flexibility. This is an annual trip with 4 siblings, some spouses, sometimes children and grand children. In the end we were 7 and we didn't need the bunk house, but it allowed us to invite others that weren't able to make it.
I could gush about how amazing our trip was. Really, every day was awesome. As we had planned, we went to The Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce Canyon. But some days we stayed close to Kanab to hike and those were great adventures too.
But this review is about the house, which met every expectation. Read the info, I'll try not to repeat what you already know from the description. What we found was more than all that...
1) The beds were really, really comfortable. Everyone said so, even the sister that slept on the daybed in the game room. We had more pillows than we needed. After a long day of hiking, I could have slept anywhere... but it was so much better to have great nights sleep so that we were up and ready to go again in the morning.
2) The kitchen was really well stocked. We cooked all of breakfasts and most of our dinners at the house. There were plenty of large bowls, pans and utensils for cooking for a crowd. Also plenty of serving dishes and enough coffee mugs to go through our group multiple times. There is also a dishwasher. There are pantry staples and a good collection of spices. I would suggest getting to the house before making your first food run because you might not need a few things that are already available. Okay, to be fair, there were a couple things we looked for and didn't find. A cork screw and wine glasses, but we chalked that up to it being Utah and maybe the person setting up the house didn't view them as essentials... not a problem. One of our group had a pocket knife and no one had an issue drinking their wine from a juice glass.
3) I don't think anyone ever took a cold shower. There were evenings were we had both showers going with one person after another (yes, we did a lot of hiking) plus people prepping dinner and maybe even a load of laundry or dishes thrown in.
4) Plenty of room. We never felt like we were in each others way or cramped. We sat around the table planning the next day, we hung out in the living room, we star gazed in the evening and sipped our coffee in the morning on the deck and patio, we watched movies and flipped through that days pictured on the tv in the game room. We used this house as we would have our own and it was perfect.
We loved this place. The location was convenient to Zion, Bryce and other great hiking destinations. The house was perfect - both cozy and spacious with fabulous scenic backdrop.
This is by far the most beautiful cabin we've ever rented. I cannot say enough positive things about how clean and amazing this cabin is.I came up here to celebrate my bday, we rented the cabin for a 8 days. We've had an amazing time here. So many things to do and see. It's absolutely breath taking. I wish this was my home. It's so cozy. We loved it! I highly recommend this serene heaven on earth cabin.
