I traveled to Utah to see Bryce and Zion Parks with my three 20-something kids. The cabin is nicely located to visit both spots, about 35 minutes from Bryce and 45 minutes from Zion. The cabin is beautiful inside with plenty of room, nice bathrooms, ample balconies, large family room, and spacious kitchen. The downstairs has a foosball table and DVD player. There was free and speedy WiFi (to the delight of my 20-somethings). The cabin is near other similar cabins but still feels "in the woods". The pre-stay directions from the owner were seamless and we arrived without a problem. A few reality checks to consider: 1) there are few amenities nearby (no real grocery store, restaurants) and no real town nearby. That said, the True Value Hardware store close by has many supplies and some groceries, and the staff are lovely. Plan to bring groceries to prepare meals. Nighttimes are for watching DVD movies, reading, playing games, stargazing etc. since the nights are dark and quiet. 2) the roads leading to the cabin are not paved (I wish I knew this) and when you first arrive, you might think you are in the wrong place-you're not. Just follow the directions. The roads are fairly steep, rocky, and dusty. The passing ATV drivers are very friendly and will give you directions to help. If you have an SUV or 4-wheel drive you will be fine. 3) the drive to Bryce is easy, and quick. 4) the drive to Zion is a little farther but the last portion is actually within the bounds of the park and is beautiful. Overall, this was a really great experience and I would rent here again in a second.
