This is upscale food in a casual space. Friendly and attentive staff go the extra mile.
We stopped in for a weekday lunch. The pastor in the quesadillas was really tasty. The nothing but egg coating on the chili relleno was perfect. They noticed we were celebrating a birthday and brought out an excellent bread pudding and the singing we had noticed coming from the kitchen became a live guitarist and some "birthday songs" from the multi-talented help.

This little place gets good reviews for a reason. A business associate and I recently grabbed lunch here, and the tacos al pastor were the best I've ever had. But admittedly I'm from PA. The owner came over and was extremely friendly, and brought out complimentary desserts which were extremely good. Nice touch! If you're in Stafford looking for a quick breakfast or lunch, I'd highly recommend Raizes.

Met a friend here and the service was quick. The salad was delicious. My pork chop was cooked a bit too much. Rice beans delicious.

The tacos are great, but service is very slow. Today we ordered refills on the coffee, and it tasted like boiling water had been poured in the cup, with no coffee. The dirty cups were returned to the table, were they given to the right person? One of our party received a third of a cup, no one ever came back to fulfill the order. Pancakes, were burned and uncooked and stodgy on the inside, when I first went to this restaurant the pancakes were light and fluffy and served with fruit. Very disappointed that this restaurant seems to be going down, I really wanted this family business to work. Come on family, help out and make the service better!

This is not some hole in the wall taco stand. It's actually very good Mexican style breakfast and lunch with your traditional huevos rancheros and other favorites. The tortillas are fresh and taste like they are made in the house. The decor is also very nice and they take credit cards and they are open on Sundays unlike a couple of places nearby that are not as good it seems to get more business inexplicably.
