A must see if you are in the Rockport area. My visit was on 4-7-2018 and the mansion is still undergoing repairs from Hurricane Harvey. You can still tour the mansion and information center for free. The architecture, garden and view of the Gulf of Mexico is amazing. The Docent as very informative. The ladies in the gift shop were very friendly as well as informative when you toured the exhibit before going to the mansion. A MUST SEE!!

Although it was closed to us, the gift shop, visitor center was open and they have a nice presentation of the Fultons. We were not disappointed in visiting that. Hopefully they can be up and running again in the near future, as the home looked to be pretty neat to go in.

The mansion is well preserved and has a very interesting past. They show the special way it was buit to be able to withstand hurricanes and it did very well during hurricane Harvey. Really enjoyed the self paced audio tour using your smart phone. Especially recommend taking this tour when Rockport's recovery allows.

I saw a tv show about this place and knew I would have to visit when in the area. It is definitely a must see. A nice visitors center. The docents in the house are wonderful and so informative. One of the docents was a nice British (Yorkshire) gentleman named Geoff. He took me under his wing and guided me around the rooms and told me so many interesting things about the house and it's furnishings. Also, you must ask him how he came to be living in Rockport/Fulton. He's had such an interesting life in exotic locales.
