In planning a leisure trip through south Texas, Raymondville happened to be where I expected to end the day's journey. This motel hit my target on the border between budget and mid-price accommodations. The finishes were fresh and well-kept. The facility is non-smoking. The room was spacious. The staff was friendly.
Bed and pillows were comfortable. I appreciated the pull out desk/table. I moved it over to the sofa and ate my microwave dinner while watching TV. My room had a mini refrigerator. I believe suites have a full-sized refrigerator. (I would have liked to had a freezer compartment to refreeze my cold packs.)
Bathroom finishes were nice with large counter top and space underneath for storage.
Nice spacious dining area for breakfast. Fairly limited breakfast options, but it did include "hot" items like eggs/omelet and meat. I try to avoid sugar, meat, dairy and would have liked better options for oatmeal other than out of the packet with no dried fruit or nuts to add to it. Bananas and fruit other than apples would be nice. Certainly not a deal breaker.
Bottom line: A restful stay at a good price point.More
