Sites are good, location is wonderful. What separates this park from the others on the island are the people. The people who run the park. The volunteers who provide activities. The people who make up the community. Very happy to winter at this park.

We stayed at Pioneer starting in 2004 for November & December. Last winter was out first time staying here for the whole winter. Oh My! Fun, friendly staff. Fun, wonderful people!!! So much to do from aerobics to square dancing, weekly dances, parades, and everything else in between. They have a great cafe on the weekends in the rec hall. I can't think of a better place to spend the winter. Can't wait to come back!

This is a must if you are visiting Corpus Christi as it's right over the bridge. Camp ground is great and right on the beach with lots of fishing to be had is that is your thing. Don't forget to go to Port Aransas as it a quaint town with lots of places to eat and shop. They lost most of there town in a hurricane a few years back and to be truthful haven't been there since but plan on it when going through this year!! Camp ground staff are very pleasant and will guide you to wherever your interests might be in. Great golf course next door also!!!

This is our 2nd trip staying here. We made our reservation way over a month in advance to get a premium spot. A word of warning, 501 is NOT a premium spot. Of the 5 spots we get the one that is facing towards the evening sun. The other 4 were not and there was a spot at the end of our row that was available at the time we checked in. Why didn't you give us that one, ladies. We didn't even want to go back to the office and change because the women in the office are very cranky, not friendly at all. We couldn't even sit outside until the sun was completely down. The man Bob that directed us to the site was friendly though. It is a nice property with a boardwalk to the beach. One of the pools seemed to have a lot of sand in it so you might want to think about cleaning it more often. When you needed to use the bathhouse bathrooms you had to walk all around to the side door. They had them locked for some reason to enter from the outside. Why, I don't know. WiFi is excellent. Next trip to PA we're going to try Gulf Waters Beachfront RV Resort. Heard that one is awesome. Won't be coming back to this property.

We just returned from a 5 day trip with the grandkids and family to the Pioneer Beach Resort in Port Aransas, TX. The staff was very helpful when making the reservations and during our stay. When we arrived a gentleman directed us to our site and assisted us in parking. Everyone we met was so friendly and respectful. The staff does a fantastic job keeping the park clean and well maintained. It was a short walk to the beach, pools, and playground. We will most definitely be returning to this Texas RV resort!
