We returned to Gran Canaria and once again to the Don Miguel.
The hotel hasn't changed but that's not a bad thing. We were on the 2nd floor with a limited view if the pool area. Room was clean and well looked after during our stay. Air con works well and room is nice and cool after a day in the hot sun.
Breakfast was good with plenty of options. Bacon was hit and miss sometimes undercooked and sat in grease. Tea options were often not replenished.
Evening meal was the same as before with repetitive food options and this becomes tiresome. It really needs some better ranges and choices rather than grilled pork/chicken/beef. The soups were often like warm and looked like they had "extras" in.
The ala carte restaurant hasn't changed a bit, including the menu which I'm sorry to say was as disappointing as previous visits.
Foodservice was slow and food was bland with limited options and no change over the 2 weeks.
Pool area was great and we never struggled to get a sunbed.
Big issues with noisy guests in the early hours on several nights. These disrespectful people showed no consideration as they shouted and screamed in the corridors at 4am.
This is not the fault of the hotel of course.
We are returning in October and look forward to soaking up more canarian sunMore
