We selected this hotel not through choice as we had no other options leaving the booking till last minute.
We arrived around 5.00am as you can imagine travelling with kids, tired and ready to just get into bed and grab a few hours sleep, only to find no beds had been made. Not the end of the world but annoying. The rooms are very basic and do lack an oven, but are equipped with microwave, fridge and hob.
Wifi is extremely slow 512kb which for those of you who are not technically inclined means that this is the minimum speed to just about browse and send emails nothing more. For an extra payment there is apparently a faster speed but limited to 250mb in total. TV choice in English was very disappointing with only two UK channel available (BBC and CNN news) I did ask at reception as to why this was to which they didn’t know!
There are limited reception hours so if you do have any problems you are directed to the hotel next door who do offer 24hr service and are quite helpful. Ski hire is just next door to the hotel and locker rooms are adequate for storage of up to 4/5 sets of skis, boots etc on the second floor with easy access to the slopes from there. I would however, point out that for those of you who are beginners then the lift and slope you need to take to gain access back into the hotel could prove a bit daunting.

The hotel is situated at the top of the resort with escalators from the town below. Beware that these escalators are not always running and you will have to walk up some considerable steps. There are two supermarkets Carrefour and Sherpa both offering a good selection and the town itself has a variety of small shops, pharmacy and restaurants.
You are gifted with one toilet roll and a very small bar of soap for the duration of your stay, there is no housekeeping so be prepared for emptying of rubbish and drying your own towels downstairs where there is one dryer. The beds are very hard and pillows are just as bad, the rooms each have a nice balcony and whether your room is high up will depend on your view. We were awoken consistently by persons above us walking with what sounded like ski boots. There is a notice on leaving your ski boots behind in the lockers but I witnessed many people ignoring that request. Although rated a 4 star I was disappointed and felt more like a 3 star to me. Location, well there are many good alternatives in Avoriaz that I believe are much better. Overall not too bad but will book at another venue on my next visit.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the lifts

Fiive adults, a family mum dad and three in their twenties stayed in a one bedroom apartment for a week.
We arrived late evening and the keys were exactly as we had been informed they would be left.
The apartment on arrival was warm and spotlessly clean. One pillow each was provided but more were delivered when we requested them. There were ample towels each for the week.
The apartment is ultra modern and very well thought out with tons of storage space, with five we had to be tidy. The kitchen was well equipped with a molinex style micro oven and a full size dish washer. We managed to cook all the meals we wanted. The bathroom had a hip bath with shower over and lots of hot water morning and night although a few afternoons the water was Luke warm until later on. There was an individual toilet.
The reception was open twice a day as informed and were helpful at all times. French and fluent English was spoken. Croissants and bread could be arranged to be delivered fresh for breakfast at 8 am.
The ski to the back door and locker storage area was adequate although we took our boots to the room to dry.
The Electra is located high up in the resort with the Main Street being accessed down the escalator system. Not a problem as there is no need to do it in ski boots.
We have visited the resort twice in previous years and by far this is the best apartment we've stayed in. We will be back.
If your organised this apartment is fine for five adults.

Room Tip: 901 great views
