This is a must visit market. You can find anything from clothes, exotic jewelry and scrumptious food from all over. Go early as it can get hot very fast and the market ends around 2-3 in the afternoon. If you're looking for something not too expensive in St. Tropez, then go there immediately :)
We read about this tiny town just inland from the Cote d'Azur, went there. There's a wonderful selection of soaps, jams, honey, and fabrics. I'd read in EDIBLE FRANCE that one could buy lovely Provencal table and bed linen fabrics for a fraction of the cost of the premier producers Les Olivades and Soulieados. This was definitely a major shopping score! We were able to buy lovely prints for duvee covers, round table cloths and napkins for very cool (low) prices. There are tons of ways to get lavender and spices, too. Sachets, teas, soaps--these all make wonderful mementos and souvenirs. Check the local press to get the correct days for public markets, enjoy and schmooze with the locals on your journey through this adorable town.
