This was a great place to stay at before we left on a cruise from Galveston. Check in and parking was easy. Room was clean and large but just had a view of the roof instead of the water. Not a big deal since we were just there for 1 night. The pool area was nice but it was too cold to use. We ate dinner at the restaurant on property as well as the buffet breakfast the next morning. The food was great both times.

Great, friendly and helpful staff. Facility is clean and enjoyable. Location is central to many stores, restaurants and any needs. Pool is way above standard for this type of facility. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This puts you less than 10 minutes from Kemah. The facility is old but the room we had was mostly updated. We were in 313. It had a balcony with a partial view of the water. The ceiling in the bathroom needed to be changed. The bathtub needed to be changed. Something in the room made a lot of noise, the A/C or refrigerator. The beds were ok. The pillows were not comfortable to me. The toiletries seemed cheap for a Resort. The room was spacious. I liked how the bathroom was positioned and that it had a 2nd sink with a mirror outside the bathroom but behind a wall so the light wouldn't disturb someone who was still in bed. The room had a refrigerator and a coffee pot. No microwave but there is one in the lobby you can use. The coffee only had powder creamer in the room. We ate at The Paradise twice. Marie was our server and we loved her. We had the buffet for breakfast. The eggs were good one day but not the next. The coffee was nice, not bitter. The view was great. The pool is really big and pretty. We didn't use the gym. They have a parking garage and it has plenty of parking, no charge. I enjoyed my stay. The lobby is grand but the rooms are ordinary. The staff was great.

Room tip: We were in 313 and only had a partial view of the water. Most of our view was the roof of a building.

Everything with the stay was positive. Staff were friendly. The hotel is tastefully decorated, provides beautiful views, and is very clean. Multiple amenities are available, as well. The hotel serves a very good breakfast (the buffet was $14) and also provides complimentary hors d'oeuvres during a happy hour. Appetizers are $3 during the same time. Menu items are also available.
