“Has potential, but needs a little work”

Stayed here with a group of friends for a reunion of sorts. Overall, the house has a lot of things going for it, however misses on some very basic items. Here are some pros and cons:

-Location - While the view isn't spectacular because you're in the cove, the calmness of the cove makes for a great swimming off the dock. Also super convenient to Lakeway Marina, we rented a boat 2 days and they just picked us up / dropped us off at the house's dock
-Dock - nothing too spectacular, but well equipped with several rafts and kayaks for hanging out on the water in the cove
-Large Living Room - Nice big living room good for entertaining / hanging out with group
-Price - this was the deciding factor in choosing this house, relatively good deal compared to some other lake front places we looked at

-Kitchen Appliances - all were working, but so old that it took us some time to figure out how to actually work them. Can't even see what temperature you're turning the oven to because the numbers have worn off after so many years.
-Grill - didn't work. Initially thought it was low on propane and asked for a new tank to be dropped off (which was done quite expediently I might add), but it was the burners on the grill. We got them lit, but they never got hot enough to actually cook anything (suspect they're filled with gunk after years of use and gas can't get through)
-Internet - the house has internet, and sometimes it worked good (we were able to stream a playoff hockey game one night), but sometimes you couldn't connect at all (we're all 30 something tech savvy guys, it wasn't user error)
-Dock anchoring - the dock is connect to land via some cables that don't keep it secured to where the stairs from the house enter the water. Not a huge deal, we just kind pulled it over or got a little wet. However, at the time we were at the house there was a pretty good sized Water Moccasin that liked hanging out right where the stair and dock met, so that made getting on and off the dock a little more interesting.

Overall, our group had a good time at the house. The things I mention above were annoyances, but by no means ruined our ability to have a great trip.
