Cat Cora's in Terminal E at Houston Intercontinental Airport has the best food I've had in any airport around the world. Freshly prepared in an open kitchen with high quality ingredients. Good beer and wine list. Well stocked bar. Generally good service, but not necessarily fast.

We were looking for an alternative to typical airport food. Found it in Houston! Cobb salad with chicken, lamb meatballs and lobster Mac and cheese were all excellent. And the hot foods were actually served hot...always a good thing. Servers were pleasant and attentive. We will go back next time at IAH.

Stopped for lunch on March 4th on a layover. Restaurant was not busy. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and my husband got the lobster mac and cheese. Took quite a while for the food, and then it was sitting on the pick up shelf for a while. Server took some time to bring it to us. The chicken was burnt black and not hot! The lobster mac and cheese was very bland looking, no garnish at all. Server also forgot to bring a spoon for coffee and never did bring one, after cream was requested. Not impressed and wound not go back.

Ate here before I boarded my plane. Great stop - the house made chips with blue cheese dip were FANTASTIC. Also had the tomato soup and grilled cheese which were very good as well. Highly recommend if you are hungry and stuck during a layover!
