We visited the Banana Leaf for the first time. We ordered various dishes to share.

We really enjoyed the food. It was expertly prepared. Loved the Hainanese chicken.

The staff is caring and efficient.

We'll be back!

I would recommend only if you are really craving for some Malaysian food. We ordered Penang Laksa, Hainanese Chicken Rice and Black Hokkien Noodles.

Penang Laksa was a wrong choice. They didn't even use the correct noodles. They had used rice vermicelli (bee hoon) instead of the actual laksa noodle. Taste was totally off. I don't recommend it to anyone.

Chicken Rice and the Hokkien Noodles were OK and have acceptable taste.

I wouldn't return again unless we are really craving for some Malaysian food.

I love the little pancakes, all tofu meals. You can't go wrong if you like Asian food. The place is a bit small but it's always busy in there because the food is very good. See if you can get $5 off with Groupon . Enjoy

Came here with a groupon deal for dinner and it was delicious. They had many different Malaysian cuisines and are pretty authentic. The Chow Kuey Teow is a classic and was spot on. They also had Rojak and other authentic Malaysian specialties that other Malaysian restaurants don't make. Would definitely come back here the next time we visit Houston. We came around 6pm and no one was in the restaurant and about 30 minutes after that, the entire restaurant was full. Luckily we got in before the dinner rush.

We recently visited the restaurant and relished on what we missed most. Felt very satisfied eating the "wonton char siew noodle" and "hokkien fried noodle". Going again for more listed in the menu. Great food! Great service!
