We frequented Guido’s back in the 70s & 80s - when in Galveston we always ate there. The food is still as good - oysters and soft shell crab were great.
Learned a fact from the past from Manager Chris - back in the early days the waiters never wrote down your order all was done by memory - we have a brother-in-law that tried to mess them up by changing his order several times - never worked - we all got exactly what we ordered. Chris explained that in the early days most of the waiters were illilerate so it was necessary to convey the orders to an “order taker” back in the kitchen.
Vadim provided excellent service.
