Hello All,
My family and I decided to do something for Labor Day weekend, which coincidentally, was also my birthday weekend. However, the budget was a definite factor in our decision. My boyfriend has previously stayed at another campground ran by the COE that was reasonable in price but very minimal in amenities. I google searched campgrounds in the area and anything in New Braunfels was crazy expensive. This campground allowed us to reserve online for a 15x20 screened shelter with running cold water, electricity, ceiling fan, and so much space. Get this- for $40 per night!! Domestic animals are free of charge to stay with you. The shower and bathroom stalls had hot running water. The closest restroom to us had 3 toilet stalls and 2 large showers. One of the showers was wheelchair accessible. There is a 2 car limit, 10 camper limit, and you can also pitch a tent on your space at no extra charge. The biggest catch is you must be inside the park by 10pm. After 10, you may drive out, but no cars are allowed back in until 0700 the next day. We will go back in November, and the shelters are in an area closed after October until the following spring. However, the regualr campsites offer a picnic table, electricity, water, lots of space.. all for $24 per night. Overall, we were very happy and pleasantly surprised. Enjoy!!!

Potter's creek has beautiful views from just about every camp site. There are plenty of waterfront spots which are full sun and lots of shaded spots on the hill among the large oak trees. We have a camper and decided to use the bathhouse because they were very well maintained and the shower stalls are large. We did have a problem with the camp site electrical system , it had blown out our camper. The park sent someone out to investigate and file a report . We where able to move sites and continue our vacation using what power source we had left in our camper. Still had a great time and always love vacationing in Canyon Lake.

We decided to stay here for Spring Break and the park hosts were very friendly. The spots have plenty of grass, but not many have shade, especially if you want to be near the water. The water is very low, but we have a boat, so spend most of our time in the middle of the lake. The bathhouse is clean, but only 1 stall was working, so lines started to form! Very good price for the amenities and location!

Just got back from spending three nights at Potter's Creek Park. We stayed at site # 58 under some beautiful oak trees. The water was beautiful, as blue as the caribbean and as clear. The weather was hot, but we live in Texas, so we expected that.
The bathrooms were spotless, a big plus in my book. The grounds were beautiful. We people were very friendly. We can't wait to come back in the fall when it is a littile cooler.
There were lots of families. Everyone seemed to be having a great time.

We went to visit potters creek from Houston, TX and it took me 4 hours to get there. Upon arrival the mean rude gate attendant did not allow us to go in and see the restrooms. I spent 150 dollars to get there and she refuse to let us go in and look. She said it was government policy not to let the public go in during weekends. Very disturbing and not happy, she wanted to charge me 24.00 just to see it, ridiculous.
