The statue is erected for the memory of Alexander Zeid, who was the leader for the defense of the Jewish settlements against the Arabs in the years around 1930. It is interesting, that his successors are still owning and living in this place, engaged with sheep raising and producing sheep related dairy products. From the statue, there is a nice view of "Jezrael Valley"
