Very old place with great food and friendly people - we went to Sunday brunch. 6 minute walk from the runway at Houston County airport. No wi-fi or cell service within a mile of the restaurant - everyone sat and talked without looking at their phones!

We arrived at or near closing time. Owner/mgrs told us to help ourselves; no rush. They even gave us a special deal! Fish was super good. Great deserts such a cherry pie, pecan pie, apple pie, and banana pudding. The folks there deserve a gold star! Thank you, Kurt Wilson

Great place to stay and eat. . . really no other place to eat, but this is a really good one anyways :) Needs some updating as far as the decor goes but the food makes up for it...
about a mile from Danville boat dock. BYOB of wine. Airplane landing pad across the street...
been going here for years ...very family oriented

First time visit to eat here and well worth the drive from Paris, TN. We all had the ribeye steaks with baked potato and everyone agreed that the meal was excellent. Steaks were cooked to perfection medium rare and the baked potatoes outstanding. Service was very good and fast. Love the family friendliness! I highly recommend Southernaire. I know we will be returning.

We used to come here all the time, but we have now stopped due to the greatly reduced quality of food. They always had a limited fare, but it was so darned good that they packed the place out in spite of it being stuck out in the middle of no-where. The service is still good, but their cook - George - contracted cancer and passed away. Without him in the kitchen, this is a place to pass by - -
