Great breakfast with a friendly and hard working staff. Front desk folks were excellent. The lobby was tidy and they had a little sundry shop. A clean older hotel. It is within walking distance of several shows and the Titanic museum.
The down side? The one elevator is ancient and tiny, the workout room is a joke, the air conditioning in our room only half worked and furniture is a little shabby.
I'd stay here again...but on the ground floor after checking to make sure the air worked.
Three off beat ways to judge a place are the cleanliness of the stairwell, the vents in the bathroom and the corners behind the door. Take this from an army captain that used to inspect barrack's... I'm just saying.
So, the emergency stairs and corners were clean. There was no vent in the bathroom and the fixtures were older.More
