Very nice condo!!! We really enjoyed our stay in Nashville over the 4th of July. We were on vacation with our
2 adult children and the 2 bedroom condo was perfect.
Loved the location! Close to Opry Mills Mall, Opryland Hotel and Grand Ole Opry. They had a shuttle that left every hour to downtown for $10!!! This was great for my husband and I to go downtown for dinner and drinks. Loved the pools too! The rooms were very nice and spacious!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Nashville. This location was near the Grand Ole Opry and Opry Mills. Restaurants and entertainment nearby. A quick Uber ride to downtown Nashville. The condo was comfortable, lovely pools and grounds. Would definitely go back.
We just got home from our first ever trip to Nashville, where we stayed at the Wyndham Resort on McGavock Pike. The property is large and very well maintained both inside and out. One of the buildings was under renovation, as they constantly seem to be updating the property to increase guest comfort.
Our unit was at the very back of the property on the top floor (we had requested an upper floor with a refurbished room and got exactly what we wanted). The unit was like a small two bedroom apartment that was very comfortable for four people. Each couple had their own private bath, and there was a full sized kitchen, dining table with six chairs, living room with couch, and balcony with four chairs. There was a TV in the living room and in each bedroom. Oh, and our unit had a washer and dryer too!
Although we arrived a few hours before the scheduled check-in time, Micah at the front desk was very accomodating and attempted to get us our room as soon as possible. We left to grocery shop while waiting for our room, and Micah called us on our cell phone as soon as the room was ready.
Even though this place is a Time Share property, there were no 'High Pressure' sales and the representatives remained courteous and helpful even when we declined to sit through the 'Talk' at breakfast.
The Resort has a shuttle service that leaves for downtown Nashville every hour on the hour, and returns every hour on the half hour. It's $10 round trip per person and is a great value (cheaper than taking a taxi). It runs until about 1:30am so you can spend the entire day downtown if you wish.
Facilities include two outdoor and one indoor pool, fully stocked exercise room, and several activities for all the family. These include movies, live shows, crafts, BBQ's etc. There are towels at the pool so you don't have to bring your own. Each pool area has a kiddie pool and one has a hot tub. Staff would leave a message on our phone every day indicating what activities were happening that evening and the next day, so we were never left wondering what we might have missed.
The Resort is so close to the Opryland Mall that you could walk if you wanted to. If not, it was a two minute car ride and you were at the Opryland Hotel, Mall, and Grand Ole Opry. This proved very convenient on the night we went to the Grand Ole Opry. We were home in under ten minutes after the show! There were lots of local restaurants close by so you didn't have to travel downtown or to the Mall to eat. Each restaurant had live music at some point during the day.
The negatives of this place were minor. If you had a unit next to the building being renovated (which we didn't), there was some construction noise during the day, but then, most people are downtown enjoying Nashville at that time anyway. The ice maker in our freezer had to be the slowest ice maker ever! That being said, if we needed more ice we just took our cooler down to the front desk and they filled it free. I think the shower heads were the water saver kind, as we didn't have great water pressure. A minor inconvenience for the women when rinsing the shampoo out of their hair. We washed a load of towels before the end of our stay to try and make it easier on the cleaning staff, but found the dryer didn't work well. It actually took 3 hours for the load to dry. We spoke with other friends who stayed here a month prior, and they had no issues with their ice maker or the dryer, so I would say these were more isolated incidents. We found the mattresses a little soft for our liking, but we like a hard mattress. Our friends had no issues with the firmness of their bed. Bedding was fine and their were extra blankets in the closet if desired.
As the tiltle says, "Great Value". This place cost us under $100 per night per couple and we had all the conveniences of home plus the activities and shuttle service. We will definitely stay here again if travelling to or though Nashville.
