This was our second visit in this Resort. We like it, because we are “blending” with Mexican people on daily basis.
We were staying in building #4. It was more quiet, but not directly on the beach ( 3 minutes walking ).
Room was very clean with view on part of town and ocean.
Nice pool area.
Beach was more busy for about 1 km, but still great for long walks.
Buffet was good for us. It wasn’t “overkill” with choices.
Internet access in lobby / Reception area only, but was working well.
Staff is nice and helpful. Same for Transat representative Vincent.
This Resort will give you variety of activity choices, even for shopping in town.

Highly recommend this resort. Friendliest staff for any resort I've ever been too and that was without expecting a tip. Even if they couldn't speak English (which many do) they were willing to help you any way they could. The food was so much better then I expected after reading the reviews on here. We stayed in Coco 3 perfect spot. If you go to bed before 9pm not so much. Lots of kids in the lower pools. Upper pool adults only was great. Never much of a line up at the bars or at the buffet except one morning when there was a big check out. The rooms were older but that doesn't bother me. The maid was fantastic. She helped us get a sim card for our cell. Julio is a cab driver at the resort and took us into town to buy the sim card. So unlocking the phone and unlimited data, texts and calls home was 30 dollars for the week. Hot water and great pressure all week. The beach is clean but if you don't like crowds don't go to beach on the weekend as its full of locals. But a great experience to walk it and see what goes on. They sell everything and its cool to see how they do it. They are not pushy at all compared to many other counties I've been too. Its about 75kl away from the airport but very slow going as its single lane and curves and hills. So it takes at least 1 and a half hours to get there. I would gladly do again just to get to that resort. Obdulia and Jorge work around the pool and older couple and I've never seen anyone work that hard with a smile on their face. Great coffee if you rise early in the courtyard. We will be back next spring.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks at this resort. The food and staff were great and the location was good if you like a real Mexican experience. The room was a little dated but very clean. A lot of Mexican families so at times it was a little noisy. The beach was great for walking and Rincon de Guyabitos was a tipical Mexican resort town. Would definitely come back in the future.

This was our second year to visit. We love this hotel. the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The small size really suits our needs. We stayed in the newest building and it was perfect. New beds so comfy, a hairdryer and location close to buffet beach and good wifi in lobby of building 2. Also our pool and lounges were very comfortable. The food was very good. Lots of variety and choices. We went to the beach club twice and it was nice as well. Happy to see the boat was removed. It is right in the heart of Gauyobitis and we walked the streets and mingled with the locals and felt very safe!! My only complaint was the crummy water pressure in the shower. We will be back for 2 weeks next year.

We last visited 4 years ago, and I'm so happy things are just as wonderful as they were on our first visit. We stayed on the 3rd floor of Cocos 1, I missed not having a balcony, but our room was large and comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and it was very clean. The only things that would make it better would be a fridge and a dresser for clothes.

The food was great in all the buffets, attentive staff, and dishes always restocked. We ate in the ala carte one night, it was good, but not as good as the last time we were here. The bar staff are great as well, after the first couple days they knew our drink orders as we walked up.

We arrived during the middle of Easter week (a major vacation week in Mexico), and the beach was packed! We had such a great time walking the beach, meeting people and just overall enjoying the whole vibe. I feel like the hotel was about 90% Mexican families and 10% Canadian, what a great way to get immersed in the local culture. The only problem we had this time vs our last visit, is because it was so busy there were no chairs at the beach. Even when we did find a couple spare chairs and tried to move them in front of the palapas (we didn't want shade), we were told by security you aren't allowed to move the chairs. Oh well, I think it was more comfortable just laying on the sand anyway. We went to the beach club one day, and that beach was also packed. We were expecting a private little beach somewhere, but it was just as busy as the beach near the hotel, so I don't think we'll bother with that on our next visit.

The activities guys were great, there didn't seem to be as much going on as the last time either, but we still had fun (they need to bring back the weekly olympics, that was so much fun). My 13 year old son was always included, Eduardo was so good at making him feel like a friend (Spider says hi to you 3!). The nightly entertainment was fun as well, so much work goes into those performances, thank you for what you do!

We went for a day trip to Sayulita, our taxi driver, Ismail, was amazing. Included in the fare he waited there for 3 hours for us to bring us back.

Love having the sea kayaks, boogie boards and catamaran available (make sure you book the catamaran at 10am for the day you want to go out).

The only thing that would make the hotel better would be the mini-fridges and a dresser, when that happens I'll be able to bump up my rating to 5/5. Hope to see you again soon Decameron!
