We were in the area to visit the Osprey Project and needed a bed for the night. This hotel suited our needs. Not too pricey (£90 inc breakfast for 2 of us). As I have some walking difficulties I needed a downstairs room and we were given room 17 in the annex.
I would echo what other people have said about thin walls in here. Or rather thin ceilings I think as we heard every footstep above us. But as we didn't spend that much time in the room this was not really a big problem.
The room itself was a big surprise. The photographs on the hotels website don't really convey what you get for your money.
We had twin beds which were extremely comfortable. Plenty of wardrobe space. The biggest surprise was a sort of sitting room. This isn't really shown on any pictures. In it was a sofa, small table and chair and a dresser. We had a back door (in addition to the front door) which enabled you to go and sit outside (table and 2 chairs provided) and just enjoy the lovely grounds. We sat here before breakfast with a cup of tea and watched Jays, Woodpeckers, Robins, Blackbirds, Thrushes and Treecreepers. Also squirrels.
A word of warning about sat navs though...ours took us to completely the wrong place. Might be an idea to print off some directions.More
