“Well appointed cottage - stunning view”

Just returned from a birthday 3 night break at Cariad cottage. The cottage is part of the gable end of a bigger barn, and has an interesting layout. Everything is very well finished, plenty of chunky wood and nicely tiled (heated) floors. Bathroom is great - loved the shower. Only downside was the bedroom was a bit small, but can't really be helped!
The lounge is upstairs and it has a great view out over the fields and sea beyond - you can see what weather is arriving!!
Hosts are very welcoming, nice welsh cakes on arrival. We took our spaniel -and there were walks from the farm. Recommended

Took my beautiful future wife away for her 40th birthday, the cottage is fantastic and perfect for two. The furniture is big and comfortable and the kitchen well equipped to prepare long lazy breakfasts before you hit the coastal paths to spend time with the many seals that seem to be always watching you.
It's worth a walk up carn llidi to take in the vast expanse of this part of the Pembrokeshire Coast, and just North is Porthgain where after a three mile round walk to see the man made "Blue Lagoon" at Abbereiddy, complete with more seals, you can eat at "The Shed" for the most scrumptious crab sandwich of the finest scampi and chips ! *Other establishments are available *
Rob and Christine are always happy to assist and are super friendly hosts.

“What a view!”

We have just spent a lovely week at Cariad cottage. The cottage was really comfy and despite some big nighttime storms, we were cozy inside. The kitchen is really well stocked, the bed really comfy and the shower was fab! Our dog loved playing in the fields and the lovely coastal walks but the best thing was the view from the sofa! I could have stayed there all day (if there hadn't been so much to see/do around!) we would definitely return and will be spreading the word!

“Peaceful comfort.”
Reviewed 2 October 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Cariad, we learned, means 'sweetheart' and this is a sweetheart of a cottage. Modern fittings, a comfortable bed, a shower that washes away the aches of coastal path walks and views to enjoy while sipping a well deserved glass of wine. The walks were stunning and only 5 minutes across the fields from the cottage. St David's is just a mile down the road with plenty of places of interest and some nice restaurants with a variety of styles of eating. Everywhere we went the dog was welcomed and she enjoyed her stay as much as we did! We hadn't been to this part of Wales before, but after this we will be visiting again.

“What a find !”
Reviewed 29 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carraid cottage. The whole property was well presented, with all the essentials already provided. It has a reasonable sized bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. There is a large living room on the upper floor with a great south facing balcony, with stunning views over the coast to Ramsey island, which was great for kicking back after a days walking. Being on a farm you are away from the hustle and bustle of St Davids and there is not a sound to be heard. Blissful, you can't help but relax.

The cottage is a 20 min walk into the centre of St Davids and has it own private path onto the coastal path. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough for 2 people.
