“Outstanding, superb, 5 stars!!!!”
Reviewed 7 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We came here to celebrate mother in laws 60th birthday. There were 3 generations ranging from 2 - 62 years old. We all were welcomed with lovely cakes by Aled and Stacey, and were introduced to Patch the orphaned lamb who quickly became my 2 year olds favourite thing about the cottage! The mill has been renovated to an extraordinary standard, especially the kitchen with its beautiful worktops and lovely coffee machine. Location wise, you're generally 30-40 mins from the nearest beach, and there is lots of brochures showing local attractions and things to do. A real gem in the middle of the Welsh countryside, cant wait to come back!!!

“Fantastic property”
Reviewed 7 May 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We had an fantastic week away at this property and couldn't fault it at all. The owners were very friendly and on hand to answer any questions we had but weren't intrusieve even though the lived next door. The property was even better than the description and the hot tub was an added bonus. This property is ideal for families with small children, dogs or just adults wanting to have some time away and would thoroughly recommend it.

“Heaven on earth”
Reviewed 25 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

The photos of Felin Hedd just don't do it justice. The setting in the Cambrian mountains, and the high standard of the Mill, inside and out, are even more outstanding in real life.
We were 8 adults of three generations ranging from my son and his girlfriend in their teens, my elderly parents, and my brother and our partners in our 40's. There was plenty of room so we all could spend time together, but could always find a space if you wanted a bit of peace and quiet, away from the group.
We loved feeding the sheep, playing games in the games room, walking down to the river and the hot tub. Wifi was also very handy, especially as I couldn't get a signal with o2!
The well equipped kitchen meant we cooked two nights and just went out for Sunday dinner (would recommend a visit to Aberystwth, and especially to Scholar's Bar for their cheap, but lovely Sunday Carvery.) We also visited New Quay, which is a nice little seaside resort with harbour and beach.
My brother and his partner cycled the Aberystwth to Tregaron cycle path, which they really enjoyed. Cyclists and walkers are very well catered for, with lots of info on local walks, separate entrance, drying room and space to store bikes.
Beware using google maps sat nav though, as it kept sending us down single track country roads, try and stick to the main roads if you want easier driving.
Aled and Stacey were very friendly and helpful and wonderful hosts.
We're definitely be back.....

“Just Perfection”
Reviewed 21 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

Absolutely perfect. We were three generations ranging from 10 to 70. (6 of us but its is really made for 8/10) The accommodation was perfect... large enough to escape the kids but if you all wanted to be together, was still warm and cosy... hard to explain how perfect this was for us.
The setting is stunning..... far reaching views of the welsh hills and valleys and some sheep thrown in. Our small dog penny loved running round after the sheep in the fields with playmate Izzy. The owner lent us his dog for walks as well!!! The grandchild loved feeding the sheep too. Aled was lovely with a warm freshly made lemon cakes for us on arrival and nothing was too much.
We went to New Quay, Devils Bridge and a few drives and walks. We have all been to the area before so were just relaxing this time. Elan Valley is a gorgeous drive though as is Lake Brianne
There were a couple of board games/jigsaws there, a wii and a games room too so we we were never bored. The hot tub is also a bonus as is the wifi.
The fixtures and fittings of the mill were of a really high standard.... the coffee bean machine alone is a few quid!! (and I've had to purchase now!).
We unlike a few others, ate in every night. Theres a lovely huge dining table and it was hard not to in such a lovely setting!
You will not regret this place if you go... We are just checking our dates and booking straight away again. Don't dither about though as I believe certain dates go very quickly simply because of return visits!!
All the eco stuff is ridiculous.... there's lots of information about it to read and its absolutely phenomenal so you even start feeling great about that too!
I proposed to my girlfriend here as well - the setting was awesome and I know we will both remember it forever... she said yes!
Thank you
