This is a top site and is definitely on our return list. The weather was perfect and the site was literally 2 minutes from the beach. The facilities were brand new and spotless. I couldn't fault it. The staff were friendly and Richard the owner was a really interesting guy. Diolch yn fawr, down ni'n ol.

Stayed here for my first outing in my new caravan.

The site is in the perfect location right on lligwy beach

The facility’s were first class with a brand new shower block

I wasn’t happy with some of the rules

You can’t walk your dog round the site even on the lead just to and from the gate

The gate is locked at 9 pm so you have to leave your car outside even though they are electric and you get issued with a fob

If you have a visitor to the site even for half an hour it will cost £5 per person

Having said all that I would like to visit again

Went on a whim with our new to us caravan, just put a pin in the map and booked by phone. On arrival the security was very evident, electric gates and intercom, which was great for security but it felt a bit impersonal. The lady who checked us in was efficient and effective but lacked that welcoming( Croeso ) persona one might expect. We were informed that if we had a visitor, we were expecting one for a coffee, it would be £5 extra and given a booklet of additional rules. A cash deposit( £ 20) was required for the electronic gate fob, good job we had it as this could not be paid by card. Our pitch was generous in size with hook-up and water readily available. The view was fantastic, with a very short walk to a lovely beach. There is no club or glitzy facilities on site, which was fine with us but we could not see the justification for a £5 visitor charge. If your looking for a quiet site with basic , but immaculate facilities it's great, just note the extra charges. Would have given a better rating but for the welcome.

Glad to here you had a fantastic view from your pitch (10) and found the facility immaculate. The site is beside a very popular large sandy beach and to prevent passers by from walking or driving onto the site, we have electronic gates. The visitors policy is for the safety and security of everyone and their property whilst on site. All visitors have to be checked in at the office giving their names and vehicle registration. The numbers of visitors on site have to be limited so that the site facilities are readily available for our customers and not filled with visitors, who are obviously allowed to use any of the shower, toilet and washing facilities on site. We also only have a very limited number of parking spaces for visitors. All the above reasons are why we have a nominal charge for visitors. There is a car park nearby where anyone can park paying a parking charge.

Called in here off road and a space was found for us and our motorhome.
Very well maintained site, wonderful and helpful staff. We were given pitch 63 which has a lovely view of Lligwy bay. We particularly welcomed the no noise policy after 10.30pm and saw lovely constellations of stars as there is no light pollution on site.
Very good security system onsite. A £20 deposit gets you a gate fob which also gets you access to Lligwy Beach.
Our pitch price of £23 in low season was for 2 adults and our pitch with electricity and water. The showers were included in the price and were always very clean.
We also saw dolphins leaping in the bay.
A very enjoyable place.

Very pleased that we were able to find you a pitch (63), and one with a lovely view of Lligwy Bay. Thank you for mentioning you found the staff helpful and everything well maintained and clean. Star gazing and dolphins leaping - wow

The sight is quite nice, not worth the £27 we were charged, plus we felt duped as we didn't get a discount for caravan & camping club, apparently they only advertise in the book!! Is this misleading or what?. Sea close, & a slither of its view. Not worth the drilling on the phone to book in. Grrr.

Dafarn Rhos Campsite is an independently privately owned site. The Camping and Caravanning Club advertise the site in their book and on their website along with over 900 other listed commercial sites as follows:
"This is a Listed Site (LS) that is licensed by the Local Authority and not under the jurisdiction of The Camping and Caravanning Club. These range from large parks with bars, swimming pools and entertainment to small, quiet commercial sites. The Club cannot approve or recommend Listed Sites, these are simply provided to give you more choice. It's worth checking when booking as some sites offer members a discount on pitch fees."
You telephoned whilst driving to the site, so we were unable to complete a booking form, but we did ask some questions to make sure the site was suitable for you all. We were able to find a pitch (63) for your unit, which did have a sea view and is requested by many regular customers because of it's lovely sea view.
