The cottage is just as it looks in the photos, you will bang your head occasionally on the door frames - even when remembering to duck on one way through but it's an old Welsh cottage that quickly becomes your home.
When we arrived we found it in an absolutely spotless condition with all utensils provided including a caffitere, tea towels, toaster etc. It is in a perfect position for getting around Anglesey, with a selection of great beaches if you carry on driving through Brynsiencyn but beware of the little petrol station you will come across who has different prices on the pumps to that on the signs.... (1.18 unleaded..)
Across the road down the small lane by the carpark you will find a beautiful quiet part of the Straits which is a couple of miles but well worth it and Hootons farmshop up the road may be a little overpriced but we did go back for their Mocha squares a couple of times, just set a budget before going in... could get out of hand.
The Sea zoo hasn't changed one bit for the last 25 odd years since they revamped it but for 7-8 pounds each for adults is not a bad place to spend a few hours.
We found a brilliant hardware shop and garage/market a few miles out of Llanfairpg (towards the Holyhead end) which sold logs etc.
The garden is great and just needs the outside lights looking at a bit but we did not want to leave and the views of Snowdon and Caernarfon castle down the straits topped it off.

“Quaint cottage suited to 2 adults”
Reviewed 6 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

A really lovely cottage and very pretty garden which catches lots of sun; being overgrown was part of its charm! Good location for Newborough; nothing going on in the village itself but there was a pub which was closed on Tue/Wed of our stay, then opened on the Thursday night. Cottage sleeps 3 but the camp-bed for the 3rd person was not up to much for an adult (would be fine for a child). Hootons farm shop not far away at all. There is one shop in the village - a small Spar type place - which is open all day long 'til at least 10pm; its chilled shelves were virtually empty though! Towels not provided in the cottage which i think is unusual. Most facilities were for 3 people, but there were only 2 dining chairs.

“Stunning views, quiet location!”
Reviewed 2 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

This was a fantastic destination for myself, partner and friend to visit for bank holiday weekend. We wanted a quiet break away for a good catch up! Although it was a little too quiet, only if the corner pub was open! The property was very clean and kept to a high standard (underfloor heating). We would definitely recommend this to our friends and family. It does seem bigger on pictures but for three people it was great. The garden is as stated in other reviews a Sun trap with a nice little sitting area. Facing the property is stunning views of the hills/mountains, it was also nice to sea the three horses also facing in the fields. Overall we really enjoyed our stay in this little gem of a cottage. Will be back in the near future!

“Delightful, cosy, warm, extremely clean cottage with fantastic view from bed!”
Reviewed 14 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Stayed for weekend in this easy to find cottage in pretty location. The cottage is well equipped with a modern kitchen with more food storage space in kitchen then is usual, so it was free of boxes. The bed was big and comfy with view over Snowdonia so you didn't need the second TV there. There is plenty of space to hang clothes. The wood burning stove in a huge old fireplace was wonderful as we had poor weather, but the cottage was so warm we used it for atmosphere. The under floor heating is brill! Lots of guidebooks and suggested walks, one from the cottage that was grand. We couldn't use the garden due to poor weather, but we longed to be out there in what looked like a potential suntrap. Quiet. Shame the nearby pub has now closed. The information sent ahead was excellent. Stress free stay.

“The Perfect Little Cottage on the edge of Anglesey”
Reviewed 6 May 2015 for a stay in March 2015

My partner and I stayed here for a week during March. We arrived to a clean and welcoming cottage, with a beautiful view of Snowdon.

The cottage was equipped with everything necessary for an easy and comfortable stay, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need.

Great location if you want to venture out around Anglesey and North Wales.

What makes this cottage a must is the log burner. I highly recommend it after a day of exploring North Wales or walking up Snowdon.

Thanks for a wonderful stay.
I hope to be back soon :) x
