“Perfect getaway!”

This is the perfect cottage and location for a stress free getaway!
We didn't arrive till late on Friday evening however Linda was more than welcoming and had the cottage heated and a chilled bottle of wine waiting.
The beach is a 20 minute walk away and there is a pub and an Italian restaurant which are also within walking distance. We didn't get to try either as we took all our own food however we will hopefully return and will definitely be trying the Italian!
Barmouth is a about a 5 mile walk away along the beach which is perfect for a Sunday afternoon. Harlech castle is also well worth a visit which is a 10 minute drive away.
The cottage was our little sanctuary for the weekend and the hot tub was an ideal way to end each day especially with a glass of prosecco!

Can't thank Linda enough for this great getaway and will be most definetely be returning!

Close to mountain walks and close to the sea, this charming 16th century cottage has a wonderful owner who thinks of everything for your perfect stay, from milk in the fridge, welsh tea cakes on the counter and ferrero rocher on the pillow of the bed when you arrive- to the hot tub ready to go and sky tv to relax and watch afterwards, perfect !

So pleased you found everything to your satisfaction and enjoyed the mountain walks, it is hard to describe just how amazing the scenery is just a couple of miles from the cottage folks have to come and find out for themselves and lets hope you will be back to explore further. Linda :)

“Peaceful and Relaxing”
Reviewed 7 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

This cottage is perfect if you have a busy life back home and you just want to escape the hustle and bustle. Staying at the cottage was so peaceful, you could hear the river and the birds singing from the moment you got up in the morning, to the moment you rested your head on the pillow. We wish we stayed longer but we will definately come again! The cottage is out of the way from the noise of traffic that we would hear back home, its like another world when you walk down the path surrounded by trees. The hot tub was fantastic, drinking our glasses of wine while staring up at the stars. It really was a peaceful weekend away. The beach is only a 2 minute drive away and the forest is just on your doorstep, which you can walk for miles!

I am so pleased you you had the escape and relaxation you wanted, I see from your wish list that the only thing you missed was a bath. As you rightly noted there just isn't the room unfortunately as the cottage was converted from an original barn which gives it its unique quirky character but space is limited so only a shower I am afraid, still you intend to come back so the pluses must have outweighed the minus. Linda :)

“Beautiful, cosy hideaway”
Reviewed 24 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Stayed here for a long weekend in March, and had a fantastic weekend. Linda was superb - we were running late driving from London and didn't arrive until the early hours but she was so helpful in giving directions and leaving the heating on in the cottage so we had a warm welcome. The hot tub was amazing, especially with the dressing gowns provided. The finishing touches made the cottage feel like home, including the welcome gifts provided - wine, chocolates, etc. We would definitely stay again, and have already recommended to friends and family. Thanks again Linda!

“A great hide-away.”
Reviewed 25 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

Beautiful little cottage for a romantic week or weekend away from reality. Secluded location, with an outside hot tub. Wrap yourselves in the luxurious bathrobes and sit in front of the log burner to warm you up. Fabulous weekend, in a beautiful cost cottage. Will be definitely returning. Thank you Linda x
