We are just back from our second stay at Tyn-y-fron Barn and have enjoyed it even more this time, if that was possible. The cottage is well equipped with everything you will need for your stay. It is a wonderful base for travelling to local interests. Snowdon is a short drive away as is the beautiful Barmouth beach. As last time we found the welcome from Dee and Peter very pleasant and appreciated that we were left in private but they were always available if needed.

It is good that this accommodation is dog friendly as our two dogs enjoyed their stay as much as we did due to the endless local walks they could go on. There are good local facilities in Bala and Corwen and even a local pub within a short walking distance. There is some great fishing on the River Dee and we even saw some otters on our visit. AND THE BEAUTIFUL VIEW IS TO DIE FOR!

We couldn't recommend this place enough and know we will return....Thank You Dee and Peter

on arrival 23/5/2014, i was informed by lady owner they was expecting me on the 22/5/2014,. this i was un-aware of, she then said it would be probebley alright to stop until saturday. i must add apart from the lady owner verbily showing us around the holiday let. that was the only coversation i had with her the whole holiday. on the final day of leaving, i knocked on owners door . i was greeted with barking dog, and a female telling the dog to shut up. i waited 2 mins, no reply. i must add i and my partner have been on a lot of simular holidays,and we do like our privacy . other owners have checked on us on at least one occassion that is everything is ok. the occomadation was great apart from seating , which was cane and not very comfortable, we did notice the property has been sold. there was no information pack listing doctors etc. wasnt sure how they wanted rubbish sorted,again no information. finally the lady owner always seemed busy, as i believe they had their own relatives down to stay.

Beautifully situated, easy to find - short journey to pubs/restaurants/walks. Perfect location. Accommodation comfortable and perfectly adequate, all the things you'd expect; good sized bathroom, large enough kitchen area and lounge area spacious enough for two, and visiting cat. Nice area to sit outside to eat breakfast and enjoy the view - and owners on hand when needed if locked out (!) Lovely comfy bed. Efficient heating (shame its needed in Aug!) Would have been useful if there was washing up liquid there and perhaps a dvd player as only BBC channels available. Otherwise fantastic and we'd love to visit again.

This place is a truly wonderful place. The service off Dee and Peter is second to none! We really felt welcomed and nothing is too much trouble.
The barn itself is warm, cosy and clean. The view from the balcony is breath taking... We really did not want to leave. There is no downside and I cannot wait to return. Tyn - Y - Fron has been a holiday to remember.

P.S Two little cats often come to visit you - They are so friendly and they even enjoyed half a steak each off us one night.
