Locally sourced ingredients. Mushroom Stroganoff excellent.
Friendly welcoming staff. Toilet not accessible. It's an old beautiful building.
Highly recommended.

Dropped in for a cup of tea and a cake after a long mountain walk. Tea came with the milk already in and looked more like barely flavoured milk so returned it and asked for separate milk I could add myself. Second attempt not much better as tea was so weak. Surely a pot or leaving the tea bag for removal would be better. I don’t even like strong tea but it’s good to have some taste! Scone was hard and didn’t seem fresh.

Sadly y sospan has gone downhill recently. Food is overcooked and greasy. Things like bacon seem bad quality. Coffee isn't so good. But worse if all the young girls who work there are incredibly rude and miserable. It is bog standard cheap cafe food but at top quality resteraunt prices. I can't speak for their evening food/menu. It is a shame as it is a fantastic building and they used to do great quality food cooked brilliantly. I hope it gets back to how good it used to be

Called in for coffee and a hot cross bun on a cold Sunday when not too much else open. Bonus was it allowed the dog in.
Nice coffee, tea and hot cross bun for £2.50 a person.
Young pleasant waitress.

Stopped by for waffles. I can’t believe anything can be so awful; lukewarm and the egg looked like it was over cooked two days ago. Coffee was an ugly brown sludge. Will definitely not return.
