“No where to chill with a glass of wine”
Reviewed 25 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

The cottage was lovely inside, large ,clean.and the kitchen and bedrooms where really nice. The problem we had was there was no where we felt we could chill at the end of the day, there is a very small area at the front that has a small bench but this is right on a road that has traffic going past. The small decked area is dirty with a number of bins next to table and chairs, there was a BBQ again by bins, also over looked by neighbours and council estate at the back of the property. There is also a play area on the estate that was very noisy and could continually hear children screaming and footballs. The walk to the beach is about 20 mins down hill but if you have any one with a disability it's a problem walking back up due to it being so steep. The lounge is really nice but felt not enough seats if there were 6 in your party, also sofas were very uncomfortable we have all come home with back ache. I have to say the owners were very helpful when booking but would not stay again

“You Won't Believe How large this Place is Inside !”
Reviewed 31 March 2014 for a stay in March 2014

From the outside the property looks small but once inside you will be amazed how big it is ! The house is really well decorated, spotlessy clean and the fixtures and fitting are top notch.
The location is very good as you can walk into Criccieth and eat at a number of varied eateries. Also you are ideally situated to explore the rest of the peninsula or further into Snowdonia.
Parking is tight and that is the only downside but that is just the nature of the area and not a problem.
Mike is great to deal with and the booking procedure is straightforward and easy.
We thoroughly recommend this property and would have no hesitation in booking again.

“Pictures don't do it justice...”
Reviewed 25 March 2014 for a stay in March 2014

We stayed here for a long weekend with two friends and our children in March. It has two double rooms, and a children's room with bunk beds. The bathroom is large with seperate shower, etc, beautifully decorated.

The pictures do not do the house justice, we expected a small cottage by the sea, what we got was a large, well equipped house within 10 minutes of the beach.

Village has three pubs, a large hotel, plenty of restaurants, local Spar, petrol station, etc - now dont let this put you off its a tiny village but has the things you need.

There are games, books, etc, TV has freeview so take some films if you are planning cozy nights in by the log fire. (You can buy a bag of logs for £3 in the village)

We will definitely be back!

My only recomendation is the house could do with WiFi to make it 5 star....

“Lovely cottage, warm & cosy, modern facillities & well presented..”
Reviewed 7 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

We stayed here with our two boys aged 7 & 13 just after New Year during the mad storms! We had a fantastic & relaxing break. The cottage is within walking distance of the local shops & the sea front & beach. There is a sea view from the master bedroom ! There is a huge Tesco in Porthmadog for supplies. Criccieth is peaceful & a good base from which to explore the area .. such as Mount Snowdon, Ffestinog, Carnarfon Castle, Harlech castle etc. We visited Cricceth Castle in the mad weather & the views from the top are fab .. the kids loved it even more because of the wild winds!! There are Dvds at the cottage & a playstation with a selection of games to keep the kids happy, mine took some of their own games to play. There is a cupboard with a few board games to play & a few toys .. my youngest loved trying them out. The wood burner was a definite plus once my husband learnt how to get it going! The kitchen is huge & really well equipped .. it has everything you need including an iron & ironing board! The only issue my teenage son had was the lack of WIFI for his phone at the cottage but we had a mobile broadband dongle for his laptop! Kids! Overall I would recommend the cottage, it was well presented, modern, clean & really spacious ... looks small from the outside! We will definitely be booking another short break here soon.

Stayed here with a group of friends rather than an overpriced caravan for a festival at the Haven site, what a brilliant decision that was. Wonderful property with all mod cons included. Will definitely be returning soon.
