A fabulous house, well equipped, spacious, welcoming, warm, comfy, brilliant location, best we've stayed in. We had a fantastic weekend in Wales despite the rain. Excellent information available of things to do, bird books, ordnance survey maps, oodles of kids games, etc. I cannot compliment this property enough. Can't wait to return.

Absolutely loved this place. It was clean and really lended itself to families but also just two people. Perfect spot for Llandovery college. My daughter was joining her brothers and this was a special time for me and her to spend time quietly managing the first week. The use of the phone turned out to be very important as I recieved some distressing family news and they were able to contact me urgently. I would definitely recommend this place but an added bonus was the wonderful yoga a short walk away. Lise was prompt and efficient which was a godsend as I can be scatty. I will be booking again.

“Wonderful Welsh Retreat”
Reviewed 6 May 2015 for a stay in March 2015

I had the pleasure of staying at Henley's Lodge at the end of March in 2015. We had an utterly brilliant time - it's an incredibly comfortable house in a fantastic location. We were a large group (two families with small children) and yet Henley's never felt cramped...the layout on the upper floor with the bedrooms/bathrooms worked extremely well, ensuring that everyone has enough space and privacy but without the irritations of multiple levels!

The owners have obviously thought very carefully about what makes for a luxurious yet cosy stay: from the lovely wood burning stove to the numerous fluffy towels, we couldn't have asked for more. Our children were kept entertained in wet weather by the football table and fantastic games cupboard and we enjoyed lovely meals in the well equipped kitchen.

The location of Henley's was well worth the trip down from London - the house itself is in a beautiful rural location with owls a-plenty and sheep ambling into the pretty garden. There's plenty to do in the surrounding areas - castles, ancient goldmines and charming towns.

Highly, highly recommended - we hope to return soon.

We had a great stay at Henllys Lodge with lots of small children. The house is just lovely and very well equipped including more games than anyone could dream of! Also, lots to do in the area with the kids and great cycling. Also found a lovely spa for the mums! Highly recommend.

What a perfect getaway at a lovely secluded location. House was very clean and had everything you need included. Come from a 5 hour drive to this beautiful house which already had the essentials.. tea, coffee, milk, eggs, breads and some treats. The bed was so very comfy and it was lovely waking up to the sounds of the birds and the distant sounds of the sheep. some times I would wake up early in the morning and hear the barn owl outside the window. We explored every day from the local village to all the way to Snowdonia. defiantly go to Breacon National Park. We went to the Carreg castle which has it's own dungeon! superb views. then we walked down the hill to the water lake. We did go to the Beach. IT was called New Quay, which is one of the most prettiest towns that I've been too. really nice sitting on the beautiful beach eating chips and having ice cream. We went on a steam train and got to stand outside whilst the train was moving, just like the movies! there was so much to see and do and only wished we stayed longer as we wanted to go to the mines which we only read about on the last day! also wanted to go visit the dinosaur museum. I hope to visit it again one day.
