We stayed in Knockinaam House over the Easter break in April 2016 and had the most wonderful week with our friends and children. We travelled as two families 4 adults and 6 children age ranges 14, 12, 8 and 4 and the house and location was just perfect. We found the house easily, and it is well situated 10 minutes from Portpatrick, and 15 from Stranraer which was great for big shops at Lidl and Morrisons. The house its self is really warm and welcoming, fantastic real fire in the one lounge, decorated very modern and tasteful with 4 large bedrooms, plenty of space for us all. In the grounds every morning we watched Deer play from the windows, walked in the woods, played football in the grounds it was great. We went Pony Trekking at Lochnaw Farm, Fly fishing at Dunskey House and Gardens, spent days on the beach at Portpatrick, visited Culzean Castle, Galloway National Park, swimming at the Ryan pool and so much more. There is lots to do all in an hours drive from the house and discovered other lovely beaches and coves. I cannot recommend the house and location enough, Elspeth was really helpful and answered my many questions.
We are hoping to return again next year it was a busy week and always so lovely to return after a long day to a warm and beautiful house.

Excellent accommodation. Spacious well laid out and clean. Plenty of places to eat in nearby Portpatrick. Would recommend Chips Ahoy and The crown. Would definitely go back again.

My family including two grandchildren under five, enjoyed a wonderful holiday in and around Portpatrick and Stranraer at the end of May 2015. A very large part of that enjoyment was due to the house in which we stayed. Knockingaam Farm is modern, very clean, large, with all modern conveniences and facilities. Added to good views, it was the perfect place for us to stay.
Elspeth, could not have been friendlier, and although we had no issues during our stay, she was always available to us if any problems arose.
As for food we travelled the few miles to Stranraer for provisions, and ate out both there and in Portpatrick using the guide provided by Elspeth. We were not disappointed with any on offer. The holiday was first class, attributable in a very large part to Knockinaam Farm.

Lovely spacious house. We rented for 3 nights in September and friends joined us for one night. Plenty of room for everyone. Very quiet and peaceful. House is modern and well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay. Wifi could be patchy in some areas but absolutely fine in main living areas. Only thing that could perhaps be better would be a larger TV in second sitting room. The kids in our party watched a DVD in here but the TV was a little small, but certainly did not detract from our stay. Many thanks to owner for great communication prior to booking and no problems on arrival. Would love to stay again.
