Gorgeous tribute informing of a disaster the town suffered. Each individual person has so much detail and the sadness is audible. Amazing

When we holiday here I always spend a few moments beside the art thinking about how hard fishermen work and the the risks they expose themselves to. The art is the story of Black Friday from 1881 when 129 men and boys died in horrible circumstances.

Given Storm Francis turned Eye Water dark chocolate and churned the sea into a frenzy while we were here it was all the more poignant.

All of these poor men who died tragically at sea. This is a fantastic and moving sculpture that you should visit.
