“Great secluded family lodge”

Just back from a lovely break 4 days 3 nights at firbush lodge within the loch tay highland lodge park.

The lodge is privately owned but there are plenty of other options to stay within the park fron lodge to glamping.

The site sits beside the loch on a slope with a reception area for the park that non residents can use.

Firbush has 1 x double bed and 2 x double singles. Plenty of storage space for clothes and luggage.

A well equipped kitchen dining and living room and lovely views. It does get a lot busier at the weekends but through the week is nice and peaceful.

I would highly recommend staying there again and even if the sun was in short supply there are plenty of games in the lodge and towns either end if the loch. Its also really handy for any munro baggers as Ben Ghlas and Ben Lawers are right on the door step.

The lodge is dog friendly but there is NO enclosed area for pets as such and the loch side bistro in the psrk doesnt let dogs inside.

If i had to nitpick; there were plenty of dvds but no player (weatger was too nice to be inside and didn't bother me as theres Sky in main living and double room) and there is no recycling bins. If green minded just take a binbag to cart recyclables off site.

Highly recommend Firbush and the owners communication and flexibility was excellent

“Fabulous setting, homely well stocked lodge”
Reviewed 25 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017

The setting is stunning. Visiting in November meant the bistro was closed and the site was quiet. Fabulous! Suited us very well as four adults. The lodge is very well stocked (we have stayed in some sparse accommodation!) and the furnishings and fittings are a great quality. The kitchen has everything you could need.
The lounge area is spacious and the views are spectacular.
The bedrooms are small but adequate and everywhere was clean.
The location is just stunning and we ate at Kenmore Hotel and the Courie Inn in Killin, great food and service, especially the latter. Shutters cafe in Killin served excellent coffee and apple and cinnamon scones!
Janine was warm, friendly and contactable. We'll be back!
