“Fabulous stay, perfect location”

My husband and I have just returned from 5 nights at this lovely little cottage. Although it is next to the main house it is very private with beautiful views across the river. Perfectly located for the miles of hiking we did through The Trossachs. Nolwenn and Michael were the perfect hosts and Nolwenn is a walking Atlas, she gave us lots of information and step by step guides to the area. We even popped in for coffee with them on our last morning and came away with some delicious brownies for the journey back to London. It's a perfect little hideaway for 2 people and we would definitely return.

“Cosy space and friendly hosts”
Reviewed 15 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

My brother and I came to stay at Fisherwood Cottage and absolutely loved in. The information (written and verbal) provided by the hosts made the trip easy, enjoyable and insightful. The space was the perfect size for us, clean and had all of the facilities you would want (including an over, hairdryer and slippers!), we were even able to use bikes. Nolween and Michael did everything they were able to to make our stay enjoyable.

“perfect little haven”
Reviewed 12 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

The Cottage was very comfortable, clean, cosy, and just right for a lone traveller, or two people. and was very well equipped with everything you would need for a short break. It is located as advertised in the grounds of a charming house and overlooking the river, which was very peaceful. Michael and Nolwenn were very good hosts and Nowlenn went out of her way to make sure I had all I needed and was happy , even to the point of lending me a phone till I got a problem with mine sorted out, which was very nice of her. They are both very friendly and I enjoyed our wee chats, and although travelling on my own I did not feel isolated. Access to the train and Balloch itself, and surrounding area is very good and the bus and train are only minutes away for those who don't want to drive. I would certainly recommend this Cottage , and its hosts to future guests, and hope to return many times in the future.
Thank you again

“Excellent accommodation and owners”
Reviewed 11 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We stayed for a couple of nights and the accommodation was perfect for us.

It was very clean, well serviced, and a good location from which to explore the Loch.

Furthermore Michael and Nolwenn were wonderful hosts who were able to provide us with plenty of information on the locality and the Loch, and so made it really easy for us to find lovely places to visit, explore and eat at.

We plan on returning in the future and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Lovely accommodation and really lovely people so it's highly recommended by us.

“Perfect getaway with everything near”
Reviewed 5 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

The welcome at the cottage was very welcoming and professional. Good explanation from Nolwenn and tips galore! The cottage is as discribed; it really has everything! Even a perfect washingmachine! It was clean and complete and Nolwenn made it very clear that you only needed to peep if you needed enything else.
It is smack in the middle of Balloch so supermarket and trainstation and several restaurants around the corner. The (little but still) downside is that you do hear the traffic crossing the bridge but that dit not bother me.
I did not have very good weather but the garden en the deck are lovely and I am sure you can spend lovely times there!
It is a great place from where you can explore the Loch Lomond area or tkae the train to Glasgow. Had a great time!
