“Excellent accommodation and owners”
Reviewed 11 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We stayed for a couple of nights and the accommodation was perfect for us.

It was very clean, well serviced, and a good location from which to explore the Loch.

Furthermore Michael and Nolwenn were wonderful hosts who were able to provide us with plenty of information on the locality and the Loch, and so made it really easy for us to find lovely places to visit, explore and eat at.

We plan on returning in the future and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Lovely accommodation and really lovely people so it's highly recommended by us.

“Perfect getaway with everything near”
Reviewed 5 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

The welcome at the cottage was very welcoming and professional. Good explanation from Nolwenn and tips galore! The cottage is as discribed; it really has everything! Even a perfect washingmachine! It was clean and complete and Nolwenn made it very clear that you only needed to peep if you needed enything else.
It is smack in the middle of Balloch so supermarket and trainstation and several restaurants around the corner. The (little but still) downside is that you do hear the traffic crossing the bridge but that dit not bother me.
I did not have very good weather but the garden en the deck are lovely and I am sure you can spend lovely times there!
It is a great place from where you can explore the Loch Lomond area or tkae the train to Glasgow. Had a great time!

“First time here but certainly not the last”

Stumbled across this little gem when looking for somewhere to see the New Year in. From the moment we booked until we left Michael & Nolwenn were informative and helpful. Once booked up they were in touch to start welcoming us and assisting us about places to eat/drink. Closer to the date of arrival we were given detailed directions to combat the route that baffles sat nav. On the day of arrival we were greeted with biscuits and a warmed up cabin. Michael gave us a great intro to the place. You get complete privacy but with the knowledge you can contact them for anything you may need. The place was immaculate, comfortable with everything we needed. From the bathroom with heated rails, to the comfy bed, dining area and warm sitting area out to the balcony (where I proposed & we got engaged) it was all we could ask for. The weather was not kind to us at all but we knew that booking for December but this did not hinder our stay in a great place. Enjoyed a meal in the local Italian and drinks with live music in the local pubs. 10/10 and can't wait to come back.

“Beautiful little lodge with everything you need under 1 roof”
Reviewed 30 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

From the time I booked it until the time I left Fisherwood Cottage, the owners were so helpful.
Directions from Glasgow airport, meeting us and showing us round, little touches like milk in the fridge and nice biscuits and even posting me an item of jewellery I'd left behind.
The cottage is gorgeous. I loved the fairy lights, the fire and the balcony with candles and a table and chairs overlooking the wood and river.
There was a co-op 5 minutes down the road where we stocked up for breakfast.
We stayed here for 2 nights as we were in Scotland for a friend's wedding. The location was perfect.
Thank you for having us. We'd definately return.
