I stayed here in room 311. Oh my it was awful . It was so dirty and dingy. I asked for a different room but couldn't accommodate me. The breakfast was good but the evening meal was a hit or a miss. I won't be returning here although it is in a lovely location .

Stayed at hotel claymore with my son. Room really did need improvement. Carpet was dirty. Mouldy smell. No shower in bathroom. Corridors do need a update. Walls not good. No pictures anywhere upstairs. No lift after requesting a downstairs room. People were going out of the fire doors for a cig but not closing it very late at night. Anybody could just come in upstairs. Downstairs was ok. Meals were fine. But not very warm. Staff were fine. Hardworking. Very friendly. All in all a good holiday. Would I come back to the hotel?Yes when the rooms are updated.

National holiday trip. Masks still have to be worn when moving around the hotel which we didn’t mind doing but not all guests had there masks on while walking about.
Check in was quick hotel could do with some updating thread bare carpet on stairs.
Room was very small but clean sink was in the bedroom shower and toilet in a separate room which was long and narrow.Breakfast was nice you helped yourself, evening meal you had a different choice each night it was ok nothing to write home about it could have done to have been a bit hotter. The view from the hotel is very good. You have tea and coffee in the room.Would I stay here again yes I would.

Room tip: Ask for a view of the loch

Arrived at Claymore Hotel on 8th October 2021, with three friends after a G&T in comfortable warm lounge, checked into room 508 and 509. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable, lovely bathroom and very comfortable beds. Fabulous breakfast, plenty of choice, dining room spotless. Dinner was varied each night, and chef outdone himself with the duck on Sunday night, delicious melt in the mouth. Hats off to all staff, especially Wiily, staff were so friendly and helpful to all guests and nothing appeared to be any trouble for them. Lovely sitting in lounge overlooking the loch, entertainment was varied too, but comedian on Friday night was hysterical, his poor wife whom he kept referring to as “Crab Apple” was the butt of his jokes, was sore laughing by the end of the night. Hats off to Management, Receptionist, bar staff, waiters and waitress, you outdone yourselves especially with 3 Coach loads all arriving together.

Room tip: Rooms 508 and 509 top floor. No lifts though.
