The most appealing feature was the breakfast room with its stunning panorama of the coast. The breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruit and crusty bread, and a good choice of cooked options. The host was welcoming and attentive. I had a room in the back so didn't have much of a view but it was light and airy with very good facilities. It is nearer Port Bannatyne than the centre of Rothesay so it would be a bit of a walk to and from town if you didn't have a car. There's a lovely walk along the shore to the Port Inn in Port Bannatyne with very good pub food in a cosy snug.
Only spent one night at Munro's but would definitely return. Beautiful views from bedroom and dining room. Excellent breakfast black pudding v v good. Comfortable, clean bed/bedroom, couldn't really ask for more. Lovely, friendly hosts, certainly recommend.
We have just returned from 2 nights here and really enjoyed our stay at Munro's. The rooms were very clean, quiet and warm with comfortable beds - we also had a great sea view (room 3). The shower in the bathroom was very powerful and there was underfloor heating which was a nice touch.
In the morning we were provided with an excellent breakfast of fresh fruit salad, freshly squeezed orange juice and strong coffee and a cooked breakfast along with homemade bread - all first class.
There was a nice sitting room with a good range of books, a log burner and free wifi - good for planning the day ahead.
We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it as a good base for exploring the island.
My husband gave me this weekend away which included a bread making course for Christmas. Fantastic present. Accommodation was excellent . Our room was huge and very clean and comfortable. The views were amazing. The bread making course on Saturday was very informative and enjoyable. Really worth doing. Breakfast was very tasty . We had a great weekend . Thanks Joan and Andy.
Stayed here the last weekend in March and had a lovely time. We were booked in for the bread making course which I cannot recommenced highly enough. It was informative and great fun, due in part to the other participants, and the bread we made tasted great. The room we had was spacious and spotless with everything you needed for a couple of days stay. The breakfast was really nice but probably the best thing about this place is the owners, Joan and Andy, they are absolutely lovely and nothing is too much bother for them. I also liked the conservatory where breakfast was served, it had a lovely sea view and the guest lounge was comfortable with lots of interesting books and information about the island. All in all a great stay.
