Cowal area of Scotland. Weather has been exceptionally good for late September. Beach quiet and out of this world. Cottage small but excellent for dogs and young children. Hosts are superb with a bothy attached to it for afternoon snacks. Cottage faces west so gets late sunshine . Close to ferry to cross over to Tarbert to explore Kintyre. West Point Beach close to Campbeltown is a must visit if you are in that area. Miles of sandy beach and watch the surfers ride the Atlantic waves. Tighnabruaich and Kames are the closest town if you need provisions. A golf course is close by too. Definitely would come back again
The hideaway is tucked away , surrounded by trees and nature. We got what we were looking for, peace and tranquility, it has everything you would need and very cozy, The area is very scenic, the beach is about 15 mins away and it is large, secluded, practically untouched and just a delight. Annette and Morris are great hosts and very genuine. We loved it, were sad to leave and will definitely go back again
We’ve had another lovely stay in the Hideaway. Annette and Moris continue to improve this little gem, it now has new double glazed patio doors. In addition to a stunning beach only 20 minutes walk down the path the location is a great base for driving to other places. Stunning weather made this a wonderful relaxing break. And it is very pet friendly, we could leave the door open as our little dog doesn’t wander far. We look forward to returning.
We had a great time staying at the hideway, we saw pinemartins playing in the back garden. It was very comfortable & homely. Easy to get too, ideal base for the area. Only 10 minute drive to the ferry at Portavadie
This was a much needed break for all the family, young to old, the setting was perfect as was the weather. The facilities were all you could ask for and our hosts could not have been more accommodating, it was a perfect relaxing break, and can't wait to see you next year.
