“Peaceful location, comfortable and cosy home”
Reviewed 10 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

Loch Etive View looked charming as we drove up the driveway. Upon entering the upstairs apartment, we felt at home at once. It is cosily set up and served our needs for our stay there. The surrounding areas along the loch presented many different flora to behold. Take a walk along the road to enjoy views of the loch. What I enjoyed most was the wonderfully peaceful view of the loch each morning and at any time of the day! Such a peaceful and comforting sight.
Fiona and Ian were lovely, plus the chickens were delightful too!

“Stunning Views........”
Reviewed 24 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

It was a pleasure staying at Loch Etive View. Waking every morning and sitting with our coffee just looking out at the Loch and mountains was a joy. My husband is fishing mad and spent all but two days fishing at different points around and on the Loch. There is a boat rental just 5 min. from the lodgings and Fiona and Ian can give you all the information you need to get there. My children and I spent our days visiting Oban, the local castles, horseback riding, and trying the many restaurants in Oban. Our hosts were warm and wonderful people who took time to chat with us and answer any questions we had. The lodgings are the entire top floor of a house. The master bedroom is spacious with lots of closet space. The bed is huge and very comfy! The second bedroom is very roomy with lots of closet space too. More than enough room for my two teenagers. Both bedrooms and the lounge share that magnificent view. You will find everything you need to prepare your meals in the well stocked kitchen. It was so nice to see cleaning supplies provided and even some laundry detergent too. A few toilet rolls to start off with was greatly appreciated. There is heating throughout if you go for a stay in the cooler months. The lodgings are comfy, cozy and relaxed. You will feel like your at home away from home. Our break was too short and we would have liked to stay another week. My husband is planning another trip back for fishing as soon as possible. I would recommend Loch Etive View or one of the other Ben and Bays lodgings that share that same beautiful view.

Well equipped top floor flat with excellent views up loch Etive and the mountians. Some nice walks along the shore and into the hills. Easy drive to Oban and other parts of the highlands. Enjoyable stay.

“Beautiful stay in beautiful setting.”
Reviewed 18 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

How lucky we were with the weather on our mini hike around the highlands. Based only 11 miles from Oban it makes easy access to the many different islands from the ferry port. Although it was hard to tear ourselves away from the stunning scenery around the cottage. My partner woke me up at 5 :30 to watch some Roe deer feeding outside in the garden. It is tranquil next to the Loch , they were still there at 8 am. Fiona was welcoming and made us feel at home. The kitchen is well equipped and we were pleasantly surprised that the village shop catered for our families many dietary requirements , Vegan, veggie, gluten free and lactose intolerant! In fact it was better than our busy inner city shop.
I would recommend this gem to anyone wanting to get away from it all. Truly a incredible part of the country .
