Had a lovely week on the croft with our two children. The owners were very welcoming, introducing us and the boys to all the animals - chickens, ducks and geese. The Home made casserole and bread on arrival was delicious a nice welcome. We quickly reordered more bread along with berries off the croft each day.
We stayed in Rose Cottage which is perfect for 4. The place was spotlessly clean and is a home from home. The wood burning stove is great, with a supply of logs included.
We were lucky as the house nextdoor was empty so we also got the use of the joining sun room that looks over the fab hot tub with amazing views up the valley

A beautiful house on a hillside in a hidden valley, From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home Chrissie showed us around and even said they would move the furniture around to suit me (I am in a wheelchair)the scones bread jam and wine were added bonuses.
My only comment is Chris please get a larger TV
We were there for two weeks and did not want to leave thanks again.
Upon arrival at Rose Cottage we were greeted by Chrissy who was wonderful and gave us a quick tour of the cottage explaining how everything worked including the hot tub ... Which we made extensive use of during our stay!
The cottage itself is lovely and more than exceeded our expectations, especially the view which is breathtaking.
Already impressed we were delighted when Chris came down bringing warm, freshly baked scones and bread, tasty jam and marmalade and let us know there was some wine chilling in the fridge.
Location wise it's a short 10 min walk into Strontain village which has a very well stocked local shop, there are a couple of hotels with bars nearby too.
There are numerous forest walks starting a short distance from the cottage which we'd recommend because of the stunning scenery.
The cottage is exceptionally well equipped and comfortable, especially when the log fire is lit - no charge for extra firewood used which is great as we just picked up a little extra for our last night. With underfloor heating too it was super cosy. The linens were lovely and fresh with plenty of towels including extra for using at the hot tub.
A strong emphasis is placed on recycling and caring for the local environment, we've already purchased some of the Eco products provided as we were so impressed with them, especially the Eco cloths.
The only downside was our lovely holiday went too fast but we hope to return soon.
Definitely recommended for a quiet, romantic break in the Highlands.
Thanks for making us so welcome Chris and Chrissy!

I spent three days at Rose Cottage with my mom and son. We had the hot tub to ourselves, which was rather fortunate. Probably this was possible because we could come midweek.
Chrissie and Chris (the new owners) are fantastic! Helpful, kind and professional. The complimentary home-made scones and bread were a wonderful surprise and we all enjoyed them very much. The organic jam was also fantastic.
The view out of the hot tub is incredible. The whole area is very quiet and pristine. The hot tub can be enjoyed in several different ways and each of them has its special charm. At night time, take a glass of wine, music and enjoy adult company. After a full day of hill walking, soak up and turn the jets for a relaxing massage. Or I recommend doing a meditation/soak in the morning on your own, being mindful of the birds singing, the whisper of the leaves and perhaps a slight drizzle on your face. Whatever surprise Scottish weather has for you, with the hot tub, quality time cannot be ruined.
There is a folder full of useful information on hill walks and places of interest to visit. We opted to see the Isle of Mull and this was an amazing experience.
I highly recommend either house or both depending on your group size! We are definitely coming again!
