We had a great time. A great place to set up base if climbing or walking in the Cuillins. Very relaxing and lots of wildlife, seals in the bay, hawks. Great views of the bay. Lovely coal & wood burner. Pet-friendly which was appreciated. Good value. Comfortable, cosy & we will be back.

This cottage has lots of charm and is in a fantastic and idyllic location offering lots of opportunity for exploring Skye. We had a great time going on some great walks, particularly the walk along cliffs and up to Tianavaig is not be missed (there is a map and description of the walk). It was lovely to come back in the evening after a hard day of walking and put on the fire(wood-burn stove) to dry our very wet boots in front of it (it was snowing) and enjoying a good glass of wine. We will definitely be back as three days were not nearly enough!
Whilst this cottage is in a great location for exploring the Island, it's perhaps not for everyone. The cottage has potential to be lovely but I certainly in need of some TLC. There is a bad smell of damp through the whole property, worse in the bedroom, our clothes were actually damp if stored in there. I will review each room.
Gorgeous fire loved this feature it was cosy and romantic. The couches however were rather uncomfortable and neither couch big enough to snuggle up on which was a shame. There is a small TV with free view but it's hard to watch anything as the sound jumps, there are however DVD,s you can watch, games and books. The kitchen whilst small is well equipped but I washed everything before use as there was mention if mice and there was a damp smell too.
The shower in this bathroom was excellent, really powerful nice after a days walking on the island. However be aware that the ceiling in the cottage (all bar the loving room) is low. If you are over 5 foot 6 you are going to be touching the ceiling in the shower.
Very damp. Bed is uncomfortable and very creaky. There are stick out wooden bits at foot of the bed which we constantly banged our leg on. There is a big chest of drawers but no real hanging space just coat hangers on back of door.
There was a lovely sign which said keep gate open so sheep can keep grass down. We thought this was amusing. However the sheep clearly haven't been there in a while as the garden was badly over grown.
All in the cottage is OK but had the potential to be really nice if there was a cosy couch and a more comfortable bed and something done about the damp smell. It's in a great location and is well priced. I would not got back unless some improvement was made. Just an honest review. Any queries let me know.
