“Perfect place”
Reviewed 4 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

My husband and I and our 11 year old granddaughter enjoyed a long weekend stay in John's self contained apartment. The apartment was well equipped and John had supplied us with milk and fresh rolls to get us started which was very thoughtful. It met our needs perfectly and the location was superb. We enjoyed our walks over the field to the beach even though the tide was out on two occasions much to our granddaughter's disappointment. We didn't spend a lot of time in the apartment as we were visiting family in the area but we would definitely recommend a stay there. Such a peaceful and tranquil location. We hope to return again next year. Thank you John.

It's really hard to find the words to describe this experience. Driving down the lane in to the village the view was stunning which was a perfect start to my holiday. Then as soon as I stepped out of the car the silence was overwhelming even though I was surrounded by houses!! I knocked on the door,John answered and straight away I felt at ease. He is so welcoming, down to earth and genuinely wants you to enjoy your stay and will do anything to make sure you do. He showed me around and pointed out the groceries that had been purchased for me, which I was really grateful for. The cottage is lovely and comfortable. The rooms are quite large and spacious. John and I shared a brew and a chat and it felt like I had known him for years! He is funny and has a few good stories to tell. John informed me he was going off on his own holiday a couple of days later and I was welcome to use his part of the cottage if needed! I also met his housekeeper Kate who is also easy to talk too. She keeps the cottage spotless. There are loads of interesting and historical places close by to visit. I will definitely be back next year. Many thanks to John for allowing me to share his piece of paradise. Josie.

“Fantastic”

Lovely cosy, homely cottage. We took my mum to johns granny flat for two days. On arrival we were greeted by John and Kate the house keeper. There was fresh rolls and lovely newly baked fancy cakes waiting for us along with milk, tea, coffee etc. We had a nice relaxing weekend and the cottage is perfect for young and old alike. Thanks folks for making our stay a brilliant one. We will definitely be back some other time xxx

“Peace and quiet with room to move about”
Reviewed 23 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

John is a friendly host who has set aside part of his home for your sole use..

A separate entrance lets you come and go as you please and there is a welcome pack waiting for you when you arrive.

Parking on the grass straight across from the property and an easy drive into Tain ........just watch for the blind brow on the way in ....locals take it at speed.

Good sized rooms and large fridge freezer in the kitchen make this great place to stay and relax.

Highly recommended.
