The ate here on a couple of occasions during our stay in the local area. It is a beautifully located pub and restaurant with great views over the bay if you are fortunate to get an appropriate table. It has a good menu of pub classics and other dishes including a choice for vegetarians. The veggie chili was good through the vegetarian lasagne seemed rather lacking in vegetables. - basically a tomato sauce. The haddock and chip dish was intriguingly inconsistent in size. On the first occasion, portion size was excellent - two pieces of haddock and a good portion of chips which was reasonable value for the price. On the second occasion, the plate had one modest piece of haddock and a relatively small portion of chips which was not good value. Clearly chefs vary in their approach to portion size! Serving staff were very friendly and the place is pleasant.

Beautiful views from this place as we got a window table. Ordered 4 hot drinks which were hot and tasty. Only problem was we got served drinks straight away but the food still hadn't arrived 45 minutes later and we had to go ask where it was as another table that arrived 30 mins after us had got served before us! The only reason I'm giving it 4* as when we got the food it was very tasty and i would go back and recommend it. Place was clean and the staff were nice.

Visited as part of a group on Saturday 28th April. The decor may be dated but my fish and chips was excellent and the apple pie and ice cream was very good. Everyone in our group of 12 who were over from Orkney for the day enjoyed their lunch.

weather absolutely awful didn't spoil the beach but couldnt walk for long so ended up at the bar. Lunch menu ok . Food tasty and moderately priced. had a few beers but shut at 2.30. Dogs were allowed.
Revisited for tea but have to say the lasagne was very dry (although tasty). Husband had the pie looked ok, pizza looked good as well. The only negative was that I was charged £6.25 for a tiny bottle of prosecco which left a little bit if a nasty taste (not literally).

I went in late October and is the back of the season. Still there was a few people in the Sango sands park and I thought it was worth while making the effort. The bar was just about on its last legs with virtually only 2 beers and the rest bottles. The food was average as the service.
The overall place is tired and could do with a new lighting system to brighten the place up. Generally it is so well located like a gold mine without the gold.
