Just to add to Amy’s review below. Our family stayed at the cottage during the Beast from the East & I cannot think of a better place to be snowed in. Cottage is not really the best description as this house is so modern & spacious, has everything you could need and more. Janet & Jim have thought of everything. It was minus 6 outside and we were snug and warm - we only lit the log burner twice & that was more for cosines than necessity. Everything is spotlessly clean, works efficiently & there is everything that you need. We had WiFi, board games, books & comfort. Janet & Jim we’re the perfect hosts & we are so grateful for all that you did for us & your fantastic hospitality. I can’t wait until we stay again. Lisa
Just come back from a week stay at this wonderful accomodation! We got snowed in due to the beast of the east but couldn't ask for nicer well equipt cottage! It is a lovely designed, bright, warm & comfortable cottage. Easily the nicest place I've ever stayed in the UK and Janet and Jim are simply the best hosts! With the AMAZING food and their general kindness! They dug us out of the snow with their tractor and did everything in their power to get us out and about :). Even lent my son a sledge! It is a great place for children my 1 year old had great space to play in even though we were snowed in for 3 days! He loved watching Jim on the tractor "digger Jim" as he would say. If your unsure if to book - do it you won't regret it! Huge thanks to Janet & Jim xx
Staying at the Distillery was a fantastic experience. Not only was the cottage homely, well equipped and comfortable, but Jim and Janet made us very hugely welcome and the kids got to meet the farm animals, feed the hens and collect the eggs, which was one of the highlights of the stay. Janet’s homemade sponge was another high point! We will definitely be back.
Cannot praise this highly enough. A most beautiful property and Janet and Jim were so kind and helpful. Spotlessly clean and everything you could want was provided.
We had a wonderful week in The Distillery. The accommodation was perfect for our party of five, three being over 85. Everything was to the highest standard and spotlessly clean. Janet and Jim were perfect hosts and couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Very central location, excellent for touring around. We visited Killin, Falkirk (Kelpies, Falkirk Wheel, Callander House), St Andrews, Pitlochry and Dunkeld. Crieff itself is lovely with good local shops and the nearby towns of Auchterarder and Comrie are worth visiting. We all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and were sorry to leave.
