We had a lovely family reunion at Blairmore Farm, renting two adjacent properties in this quiet and peaceful location with stunning views, about 5 miles from Crieff. Although self-catering, we made good use of the wonderfully cooked food which is prepared on the farm to order, As.shops are some distance away, this service was much appreciated. The cottages are generously equipped and extremely comfortable with excellent beds. The owners were always on hand and could not have been more kind and helpful, and were also befriended by shire horses and newborn lambs.
A short drive away, at Innerrpeffrey, is the oldest lending library in Scotland, which is a fascinating museum. Drummond Castle gardens are also near. The Crieff Food Co is a fantastic new deli and a great place to shop and eat.
We all had a wonderful time from the young to the elderly, though the short drive from the main road is not for the nervous driver, though well worth the effort.
